The Valley of Palaces and Gardens is a tourist trail leading through monuments of palace and castle architecture through extremely interesting landscape areas at the foot of the Rudawy Janowickie Mountains and the Karkonosze Mountains.

The Jelenia Góra Valley is a special place on the cultural map of Poland. On the one hand - the wonderful landscapes of the Karkonosze and Rudawy Janowickie, and on the other - the greatest saturation of historic buildings.
And not only the quantity, but above all the quality and variety of historical buildings such as: medieval towers and castles, Renaissance manors, baroque palaces, and 19th-century palace and park complexes give the region a unique character. This combination of the values of the natural landscape and the heritage of material culture is emphasized by the wonderful park layouts surrounding the most splendid residences.
Landscape parks, often connected by historic avenues, blend into the natural hills, forests and glades of the valley. The unique harmony of human creative activities and the natural landscape gained the status of an extraordinary place already at the end of the 18th century.
