One of the oldest Polish villages, its origins date back to the 12th century. It contains the ruins of a knight's castle built in the 16th century, surrounded by a moat. A stone tower, a farm building from the 17th century and a baroque gate with coats of arms have survived from the castle. In the Old Tenement House there is also a Gothic church. Beheading of Saint John the Baptist built in the 15th century, inside there is a Baroque altar and a Gothic baptismal font.
