Near Szklarska Poręba, on the other side of the border, lies Harrachov - one of the most famous Czech recreational centers.
Harrachov is popular among both Czechs and Poles who, taking advantage of the convenient access via national road No. 3, eagerly visit it. The most frequently visited attractions are undoubtedly the famous ski jump complex located on the slopes of the Čertová Hora mountain (Devil's Mountain), which dominates Harrachov.
We can see the famous mammoth ski jumping hill where the Ski Jumping World Cup takes place by taking a chairlift to Czarcia Góra.
It is undoubtedly also worth seeing the "Novosad & Syn" glassworks. It is a private, second-oldest glassworks in the Czech Republic (founded before 1712). The traditional method of production is still preserved here. When visiting the plant, you can see the entire process of manual glass processing.
There is a stylish restaurant connected to the Huta with its own beer production, which is brewed directly in front of guests. Harrachov yeast beer is famous for its unique taste and high quality. On weekend evenings, music bands add to the atmosphere. There is also a beer spa at the brewery.
Another frequently visited attraction is the Mining Museum and the adit with a tourist route operating since March 2003 at the level of the former adit floor. The museum includes an exhibition of minerals from fluorite deposits, tools and auxiliaries used during mining, maps and photos showing the work carried out in the former mine.
