The Wang Temple is undoubtedly the most important monument in Karpacz and one of the greatest attractions of the Karkonosze Mountains.

The pearl of the Karkonosze Mountains, a monument of Nordic architecture from the 12th century.

The temple was built in the 12th century by Norwegians in the town of Vang on Lake Vangsmjosa. It was brought to the Karkonosze Mountains in 1842 by the Prussian king Frederick William IV. Its construction was made without the use of nails. The carvings on the 12th-century portals and columns with capitals, as well as the sculptures of Nordic lions, are works of true art by the descendants of the Vikings. Outside the temple we admire the stylized cloisters and the granite bell tower. Next to the church there is a Parish House where you can rent guest rooms, a medical point of Diakonia Wang, a bookstore with religious and tourist publications, and a sculpture depicting the resurrection of Lazarus. Near the Wang temple there is a starting point for Śnieżka and the main Karkonosze trails. The historic cemetery offers a beautiful view of the Jelenia Góra Valley and the Karkonosze Mountains.
